Fascia, soffit and guttering must be kept in a good condition to enable a property to remain weatherproof. The fascia supports the bottom row of tiles and slates and usually supports the guttering. It also closes the gap between the rafters. The fascia often supports the outer edge of the soffit board (if one exists). When putting up new fascias, soffits and bargeboards or replacing them, one option is to fit UPVC.
