Conservatories

'Bring your garden into your home'

Consider the versatility that a Conservatory adds to your lifestyle, perhaps a dining room, games room, studio, breakfast room, office or the obvious sun lounge to enjoy and be at one with your garden.
Our craftsman built Conservatories will be specifically designed to suite your home and your individual environments. A full design and planning service is available to you free of charge. We employ our own team of craftsmen builders who can construct your base in face brick or block/render. We can also arrange electricial and plumbing/heating works if required.

A Conservatory is warm, cosy and comfortable all year round and is unique to your own surroundings.
The durability and resilience of PVCu, the main component in the construction of your Conservatory, gives you a maintenance free structure which simply wipes down clean for an everlasting look of style and beauty.

Your new Conservatory brings the garden into the home and your home into the garden.

The Conservatory design opens up more space and light and is an elegant extension to your home. This `extension` to your property will provide a light and spacious living area that will help you enjoy your surroundings all through the year.

Finishes are available in White, Rosewood, Mahoghany or Light oak also combination of Rosewood on White and Light oak on White.

PLANNING PERMISSION

"A Conservatory may be any height. Planning permission is required if the ridge is higher than any part of the existing dwelling, but permission is only required when it is closer than 2 meters from a boundary and more than 4 metres high.
"A detached or semi-detached house can be extended by 70 cubic metres or 15% of the original volume up to a maximum of 115 cubic metres before planning is required. A terraced house or any house in a Conservation area can be extended by 50 cubic metres or 10% of the original volume, up to a maximum of 115 cubic metres. Planning is then required if the erection of a Conservatory means that more than 50% of the garden area is then covered by buildings.
"Building Regulations are another matter. Currently, Conservatories are exempt from these provided heating is not extended into the Conservatory from the house (by extending the existing heating system by means of a radiator for instance), and there is a seperation between the house and Conservatory with door(s) which conform to Part L. The Conservatory can be constructed with single glazing and no insulation.
"However, if consent is required some Authorities require calculations for the whole house which means K glass ect. will be needed. (There are different interpretations of the Regulations by different councils; this would ideally need to be ironed out of if and when Building Regulations are imposed on Conservatories, and we are keeping eye on this).
"Finally, a Conservatory must have at least 75% roof area and 50% of the walls in a transparent material."
